It is easy to combine lists and data into one dynamic list. If you have a filter that you need to only filter against one list and not all of your lists in your dynamic list, simply head over to your core table, choose to browse, create a filter. Once you've created a filter, and applied it and you are satisfied with the data that is coming back, you can apply those contacts into their own static list. In this way, you can now add the list to your other set of lists.
